FAQs

Q: Does it really cost less than 6 XRP?
A: Yes! if you already have an active, self-custody XRPL wallet (if you don't have such a wallet you'll need to factor in just 1 more XRP to active your wallet, we recommend Xaman), you'll need to send 5 XRP to our wallet as part of the issuing process and an additional amount (less than 1 XRP) is needed to pay standard ledger transaction fees and ledger reserve amounts.

Q: Is launching a token using your tool safe and secure?
A: Yes, we only require your public wallet address, at no point will we ask for your secret key (never share your wallet secret key with anyone!). During the issuing process we use some of the 5 XRP you send us to activate another wallet which will be the official token 'issuing wallet', the secret key for this issuing wallet is only ever held in temporary server memory during the issuing process (we couldn't get the key if we wanted to) and since the issuing wallet will be blackholed during the process there's absolutely no way to access the wallet again for any purpose.

Q: 5 minutes is all the time it takes?
A: Yes, if you have everything you need to hand (your wallet app, active wallet address with 6 available XRP and a web-browser) then follow the instructions carefully and the whole process should take less than 5 minutes! The easiest way to complete the process is to use the Xaman mobile wallet app whilst you're sat infront of a desktop or laptop web browser. Note: If you take too long to complete the steps or you enter incorrect information the whole process will time out and you will lose your XRP.

Q: What is the $BITx AMM pool thing all about?
A: The BITx team always works to progress our mission concerning the $BITx token, as part of that mission we want to keep growing its ecosystem and creating BITx AMM pools as part of new token launches is a great way for us to do just that. It uses a very small 0.5% of your new token supply but it goes a long way for us in keeping $BITx relevant on an ever growing ledger. It can be seen as a positive for your new token as well, creating that first (locked liquidity) visible AMM pool and seed of liquidity, perhaps other $BITx community members will see it and provide their own tokens as liquidity!

Q: How do I get an icon for my token?
A: The XRP Ledger uses a combination of a domain (eg: https://launchpad.bitx.fyi) and a toml file (xrp-ledger.toml). To display a token icon you must enter a domain in the optional field, your domain must have a valid SSL certificate (ie. https not just http). You should upload your toml file into a directory folder called .well-known (yes you do need to put the . there) this folder should be in the same location as your website index.html. You should also upload a png or gif file as per the URL you have in your toml file. Here is an example of a basic toml file:

Q: I hear a lot of new tokens on the XRPL get sniped by bots?
A: Yes, there are sniping bots and human token snipers operating on the XRP Ledger. Some token launchpads put your token at risk of being sniped by forcing you to make larger amounts of your token available immediately via XRP AMM pools for liquidity, effectively making a successful launch a reflection of just how deep your pockets are, we do not act this way. Only 0.5% of your new token is deposited into a YourToken/BITx AMM pool and you receive 99.5% of your token supply into your own wallet straight away, how much of that supply and when you make it available on the XRPL DEX and at what valuation is completely up to you.

Q: Can I launch more than one token using the BITx Launchpad?
A: Yes, you can launch as many times as you like.

Q: Anything else I need to know?
A: Just a few things: Think carefully about your chosen token ticker name, total max supply and domain as once the issuance is complete these cannot ever be changed so don't make any mistakes at the first step. Also be aware that token ticker letters are always converted into uppercase characters. Lastly, this tool is designed to create a standard, fixed supply token on the XRP Ledger (just like the majority of all memecoins on the XRPL), there will be no freeze, clawback or other more exotic functionalities available for the token.
